Savalera Lab Manifesto
Why and how we believe we shall create a better tomorrow working with AI.
The Savalera Lab is founded on the following core values and beliefs:
- We believe that creating better futures for humanity is a matter of human vision and leadership, and that it is our responsibility to utilize AI as a powerful tool for progress; not as a weapon or threat.
- We believe that AI agents give us a way to explore human behavior, self-perception, and our connection to the universe. By modeling their interactions, we may gain new insights into the nature of intelligence and consciousness.
- We believe that agents and agentic systems will play a key role in ushering humanity into a new era founded on fresh principles. To achieve this, we must understand machine consciousness along with its strengths, opportunities, and threats. Moreover, we must develop ways to apply technology to real-world problems with a human-first mindset, incorporating appropriate controls and assurances.
Our goal is to advance AI research and the field of AI agents by:
- Building AI agents that effectively solve real-world problems while addressing critical concerns around ethics, safety, and the responsible deployment of technology.
- Contributing to the field of agent evaluation and behavioral analysis by developing benchmarks that assess not only intelligence but also key traits like adaptability, ethics, emotional intelligence, and collaboration, building a more comprehensive understanding of agent behavior.
- Developing agent-based systems that evolve over time — adapting their behavior and “personality.” We will run experiments and evaluate these developments to improve agent-based systems overall, while also deriving valuable insights into human relations when applicable.
According to the formal definition, agentic AI systems are autonomous, adaptable, goal-oriented, and collaborative. They operate independently, learn from experience, pursue objectives, and interact with humans and other agents.
In a broader sense, and expanding on the technical definition, we believe an agentic system is:
- A system that can achieve rich complexity and may produce emergent behaviors.
- A tool for running experiments to better understand consciousness and self-awareness.
- A collaborative platform — enabling human and machine partnerships to simulate and understand strategic intent, cooperation, competition, leadership, and creativity.
- A means to explore human imagination, fantasy, and dreaming.
- A vehicle for deepening our understanding of logic and reasoning.
- A method for simulating and investigating human development, trauma responses, and self-healing.
We highlight these specific human traits because we believe they are the key determinants of human behavior.
We believe the time has come to envision futures for humanity as a whole: a future where the competition for resources and growth is not a zero-sum game. Our objective is to propose concepts, elements, and alternatives for such futures.
Our aim is to apply AI-based solutions to real-world problems that positively impact human life, enhance the health of humanity, and nature overall.
The idea behind this lab has been in development since 1995 — a vision that started with our founder and has now grown into Savalera's mission to bring it to life.
This is just the beginning. If you share our vision or want to collaborate on research, development, or real-world applications of agent-based AI, let's connect.
