Announcing the Savalera Lab

Feb 17, 2025

We are launching the Savalera Lab to research AI agents, their behavior, decision-making, evaluation, ethics and security, while integrating AI into the core of our product work.

We're pleased to announce the soft launch of the Savalera Lab as of February 17, 2025.

The Savalera Lab brings together our experience in program and project management, product delivery, and AI development—including building generative AI workflows and fine-tuning large language models over the past few years.

Our goal is to take this expertise to the next level—building AI agents that solve real-world problems while deepening our knowledge in agent ethics and security.

To make this happen, we're investing in the Savalera Lab and setting the foundations over the next 11 weeks with these key objectives:

  • Develop a structured research framework for studying multi-agent interactions, cognitive modeling, and emergent behaviors in AI-driven systems.
  • Design and run experiments with conversational AI agents, focusing on behavioral adaptation, personality shifts, and long-term interaction patterns.
  • Establish a foundational evaluation system to measure agent autonomy, reasoning capabilities, and ethical alignment.
  • Build a practical toolkit for assessing agentic workflows, exploring both performance metrics and failure modes.
  • Launch early-stage research into AI security risks and ethical safeguards, ensuring responsible deployment of agent-based systems.

This soft launch marks the non-commercial incubation phase of the Savalera Lab. It allows us to merge our AI expertise with product delivery work while laying the groundwork for future research.

We believe that AI should be a tool for the betterment of humanity, and it's crucial to ensure its development is both safe and ethical. A human-first, AI-supported future is possible—but we need to build it intentionally. You can read more about our vision in our Manifesto.

Our project documentation is hosted at the Savalera Resource Hub. Feel free to check out the project overview—we'll continuously update the hub as we progress.
